As any chocolate lover can imagine, cocoa sells at a good price these days, meaning the growers can use the extra income to improve their lives. That's particularly important in poor areas, such as the communities surrounding the Sierra del Lacandón National Park in Petén, Guatemala. This week we showed 54 families how to grow cocoa, in the shade of fruit trees, and handed over supplies and plants. Our support is ongoing as we work continuously with the communities. Now let's wait for some delicious chocolate!
